Native American Partner
$75.00 / 3 months
Native American communities and individuals can be found all across the United States, and they have intimate personal association with many American archaeological and historical sites and topics. Centuries of exploitative and exclusionary policies have damaged relations between tribes and non-Native governments, tribes and preservationists, and tribes and anthropologists. This course provides the introduction and framework to allow every preservation leader to be a partner in bridging divides, encouraging native voices in historical interpretation, and pursuing opportunities to engage tribal governments as allies in historic preservation.
