About This Course

All leaders deal with risk, in various forms, on a regular basis. Historic preservation entails its own set of risks, and a preservation leader must understand how to identify and mitigate those risks in order to keep her organization and its projects moving forward. Because every project is unique, mitigating risk requires flexible and creative thinking, as well as a sensitivity to detail and capacity for analysis. A great risk mitigator will have the ability to foresee potential risks, adapt to changing circumstances, and resolve logistical or financial challenges on both a project-based and organizational level.
