Attracting Philanthropic Support for Preservation
Attracting Philanthropic Support for Preservation
Effective fundraising is an essential component of historic preservation work. Fundraisers must convey to supporters why a building or site is important, why financial support is necessary for its survival, and why that person or institution’s financial support is critical to your project. Once they secure financial backing, successful fundraisers are able to allocate funds across their projects according to a carefully-thought-out plan. The resources in this course will help you learn how to identify sources of funding, prepare a fundraising plan, build a fundraising team, and make the best use out of limited funding.
